"Estamos monitoreando constantemente la propagación del nuevo coronavirus (COVID-19) y sus posibles efectos en la cadena de suministro global. La salud y la seguridad de nuestro personal, ya sea en tierra o a bordo de nuestros buques, y la continuidad de nuestras operaciones en servicio a usted, siguen siendo nuestra principal prioridad.
Actualmente, todas las terminales, embarcaciones y operaciones de carga de Crowley permanecen completamente abiertas y operativas. Esto incluye nuestras ubicaciones de Port Everglades, Jacksonville, Filadelfia, Gulfport, Wilmington, Puerto Rico, USVI, el Caribe y Centro América. Efectivo el martes, 17 de marzo, estaremos renunciando a las tarifas de detención y estadía para equipo en los Estados Unidos, Centroamérica y Puerto Rico. Esta exención, válida solo hasta el 5 de abril, no aplica a los cargos de energía, al equipo almacenado dentro o en las afueras del puerto, o a las tarifas de terceros. Tampoco aplica al equipo en tránsito entre la República Dominicana, Haití ni demás destinos en el Caribe. Si usted requiere un arreglo especial más allá del 5 de abril, es cliente en una de las ubicaciones donde no aplica esta exención, o tiene alguna solicitud especial, por favor comuníquese con su representante para examinar una posible solución.
Además, nos gustaría que trabajemos juntos para prevenir la acumulación de carga en nuestras terminales y en sus instalaciones. Si no está abierto a operaciones para recibir carga, no continúe solicitando y cargando equipos hasta que se reanuden las operaciones. Esto permitirá la disponibilidad de contenedores vacíos necesarios para mantener la integridad de la industria de infraestructura crítica, según definida por el Departamento de Seguridad Nacional, que contempla los servicios de atención médica, el suministro farmacéutico y de alimentos.

"We are constantly monitoring the spread of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) and its possible effects on the global supply chain. The health and safety of our personnel, whether on land or on board our ships, and the continuity of our operations in service to you, remain our top priority.
Currently, all Crowley terminals, vessel and cargo operations remain fully open and operational. This includes our locations in Port Everglades, Jacksonville, Philadelphia, Gulfport, Wilmington, Puerto Rico, USVI, the Caribbean and Central America. While other companies may be reducing the schedule at their terminals or operations, at this time, Crowley has not.
That said, we understand that this is a difficult time for our customers, as some have adjusted their business hours or temporarily closed operations leaving the load in limbo. We are working contingencies to provide relief to our customers.
Effective Tuesday, March 17, we will be forgoing stop and stay fees for equipment in the United States, Central America and Puerto Rico. This waiver, valid only until April 5, does not apply to energy charges, equipment stored inside or outside the port, or third-party rates. It also does not apply to equipment in transit between the Dominican Republic, Haiti or other destinations in the Caribbean. If you require a special arrangement beyond April 5, are a customer at one of the locations where this waiver does not apply, or have any special requests, please contact your representative to discuss a possible solution.
In addition, we would like us to work together to prevent the accumulation of cargo in our terminals and in their facilities. If you are not open to operations to receive cargo, do not continue to request and load computers until operations resume. This will enable the availability of empty containers needed to maintain the integrity of the critical infrastructure industry, as defined by the Department of Homeland Security, which includes health care services, the provision of pharmaceutical and food.
